Isaac : Carver, he's here. He's headed to the Machine!

Isaac : I'm trying! Find a way into the city. We'll try to meet up on the way!

movie : The misshapen Moon in orbit... that's what controls the Markers. It's the end-state of these creatures... or rather, it would've been. You see, the natives of this planet constructed a Machine that froze the Moon in mid-formation. But it wasn't enough. Even half-formed, the Moon's "Marker Signal" speaks to the Markers back home. And it doesn't end there. There is a network of "Brethren" Moons spanning the stars. As each one completes, it connects to this network, making them aware. If this Moon should complete, its brothers will all come - looking for food. But there is hope! The natives never finished configuring the Machine. It wasn't meant to merely freeze the Moon - it was meant to destroy it! You'll need the Codex. It is the key to unlocking this Machine and re-configuring it! Follow my trail into the heart of the Machine and end this nightmare.

軌道上の歪な月...それがマーカーを操っている物です。それはこれら生物の最終形態、いやむしろそうであった物と言うべきでしょう。ご存知の通り、この惑星の原住民達はMoonを完全化途中にて凍結する為、マシンを作り上げました。しかしそれだけでは十分ではなかったのです。途中形態でありながらthe Moonの「マーカー信号」はマーカーへの帰還を促し続けます。それだけではありません。星々にまたがるMoonの「同胞」達のネットワークが存在します。一つでもMoonが完全体と化せばそれはネットワークを通じて他のMoonにも知らされます。もし、この惑星のMoonが完全体と化してしまったらその兄弟全ても食物を探してこちらへやって来るでしょう。しかし、まだ望みはあります。原住民達はマシンの設計が完全には終わっていませんでした。それはただMoonを凍結するだけではなく、破壊する筈だったのです！貴方にはコデックスが必要です。それはマシンを解錠し再設計を可能とする鍵です！私の軌跡を辿ってマシンの心臓部へと進入し、この悪夢を終わらせて下さい。

Isaac : Carver, did you hear that? The Machine can crush the moon! It just needs to be properly configured!

Carver、聞いたか？マシンでmoonを破壊することが可能だ！それには適切な設計を必要としている！

Carver : What about Danik?

Danikはどうした?

Isaac : Stopping Danik won't be enough. We need to get that Codex back! It's the key to re-configuring the Machine!

まだ十分な足止めが出来ていない。俺達はコデックスを取り返さなければならない！あれがマシンの再設計を可能とする鍵だ！

Isaac : But Serrano's locked the passage using some kind of alien glyphs! I'm going to look for a way to bypass it.

だが、Serranoがエイリアンの象形文字を使って通路をロックしている！解決策を探している所だ。

Isaac : My god!

凄いな！

Carver : Holy shit! This must be ground zero.

ほう！ここが中心地に違いない。

Isaac : And that must be the Machine.

Carver : So I guess this is it, huh?

じゃあいよいよ正念場ってことか、だろ？

Isaac : Yeah, this is it.

Carver : I need you to promise me something. If I don't make it, you'll get this done, right?

俺と約束してくれないか。もし俺が道半ばで倒れた場合はお前がやり遂げるんだ、いいな？

Isaac : We'll get this done, Carver. You and me.

Carver、「俺達」でやり遂げるんだ。お前と俺とでだ。

Carver : Yeah but... If I don't... I helped get us this far. And that's close enough for all this to count, right?

ああ、だが...もし俺が...俺がこんな遠くまで皆を連れてきちまった。それは数に加えるには十分すぎる、そうだろ？

Isaac : Count for what?

Carver : For... I dunno, just... all the bad I've done.

Isaac : Ah shut up Carver, you're a good man.

Carver、もういいさ。お前はいい奴だ。

Carver : I alienated my son, wrecked my family. Isaac, I killed Santos. Is that what a good man does?

Isaac : Good men mean well. We just don't always end up doing well.

Carver : Yeah. Hey, I'm sorry about Ellie, man.

あぁ。なぁ、その、Ellieの事は気の毒に思う。

Carver : Shit! Isaac, these paths, they join up with Danik's up ahead!

クソッ！Isaac、この道でDanik達の上に出る！

Isaac : Try to slow him down! I'll find another way!

Danikの足止めを頼む！俺は別の道を探してみる！

Isaac : Danik! You have to stop!

Danik！止めるんだ！

Danik : Isaac? Is that you? You are unbelievably hard to kill. Are you aware of that?

Isaac？貴様か？貴様は信じられない位に殺すのが難しいな。自分で気づいているか？

Isaac : Danik, do you know about the moon? Do you know what it is?

Danik、お前はmoonについて知っているか？お前はあれが何なのかわかっているのか？

Danik : Part of the miraculous ecosystem, I assume.

奇跡的な生態系の一部、そうだろう。

Isaac : It's alive, Danik. It's hungry, and it isn't alone. If you turn off the Machine, you'll set it free. And then it, and all its brothers, find our Markers, find us, and wipe us out!

Danik、あれは生きている。あれは腹を空かしそして一人じゃない。もしお前がマシンのスイッチを切って奴を解放してしまったら、奴とその兄弟が人類とそのマーカーを見つけ絶滅させてしまう！

Danik : How can you presume to know its intentions? You fear it because you don't understand it!

貴様はその先にある物を知っているのか？貴様は自分が理解出来ないものがただ恐ろしいだけだろう！

Isaac : Danik? Hear me out! Danik, are you listening!? Motherfucker.

Carver : Isaac!

Carver : The fuck kind plan is this...

何てフザけた作戦だ...

Danik : Give it to me!!!

Isaac : Christ, you're heavy!

Isaac : Carver!

Carver！

Carver : Over here!

Isaac : Where?

どこだ？

Carver : Aw hell! I'll meet you at the Machine!

あぁ、畜生！マシンの場所で会おう！

Isaac : Carver! These disc-shaped areas on the floor: they super-charge our TK capacity, but hurt like hell!

Carver！床面にある円形エリアに入ると体が猛烈に痛むがキネシス能力が大幅に向上するぞ！

Carver : What about stasis?

ステイシスはどうだ？

Isaac : What about it?

どういう意味だ？

Carver : Think it's enhanced too?

思うに、ステイシスも強化されるんじゃないか？

Isaac : You try it and let me know.

Serrano : Incredible, isn't it? I call this the Promenade - one of the many conduits straight to the heart of the Machine. Without the Codex, I can only speculate, but I suspect the Machine needs to be opened for any changes to be made. I believe the monoliths on this plateau do just that. By standing on the special disc-shaped area on the floor, I've discovered I can use my Kinesis module in a boosted capacity to manipulate them. The two hieroglyphics on the wall behind me indicate that one configuration will open the Machine; another will enact any changes to the internal programming. Once you get it open and have followed all of my research, you will need to return here to enact the final stage.

なんて素晴らしい。そうだろう？ただ真っ直ぐにマシンの心臓部へと続く数多くの導管、私はこれを遊歩道と呼ぶことにする。コデックス無しでは私は推測する事しか出来ないが、変更を加える為にはマシンを開かなければならない様に思われる。この台座に立つ柱こそが丁度その役割を果たすのではないだろうか。床面にある特別な円形エリアに立つ事でキネシスモジュールが強化され、これで柱を操作することができる事を私は発見した。私の背後にある二つの壁画のうち、一つはそう設定するとマシンが開くことを、もう一つの設定が内部設計へ変更を加えるものであることを示している。一旦それを開き私の研究の全てを辿ったら、あなたはは最終段階を実行する為にここへ戻ってくる必要がある。

Isaac : Oh god. This isn't a city. Carver, all of this, THIS is the Machine!

なんてことだ。ここは都市なんかじゃない。Carver、ここ全てがマシンその物なんだ！

Carver : Holy hell. Ah ok, ah you're the engineer. How do we fix it?

恐ろしい話だな。わかった。あー、お前はエンジニアだ。俺達はどうすればいい？

Isaac : We'll follow Serrano's clues and reconfigure the Machine. I just opened a conduit to the heart of the city. If there's a control center for the Codex, that's where it will be. Meet me there!
